Senior Daniel Love has had many productive games throughout his illustrious career but arguably none have come close to the dominating performance he exhibited in Wednesday night’s District Semifinal victory over Olympia. Love finished with a game-high 29 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter alone, to carry the Panthers to a 58-45 victory that earns them a berth in both Friday’s District Championship game and next week’s Regional Tournament. Love also added six rebounds and a pair of steals. Junior Devon Buckhanon had a tremendous night as well, finishing with ten points and a team-high eight rebounds, all the while stifling Olympia’s top post player, limiting him to just seven points. Junior guard Dante Love went for ten assists, four points and four rebounds while sophomore Juneau Anicette turned his best show of the year with nine points and five rebounds. DP (18-7) will take on Oak Ridge Friday night for the District Championship at 7:00 pm at Freedom HS, marking the ninth consecutive year the Panthers will play in the title game.
